It may be many reasons, maybe the dog stepped in some corn by product or walked in some corn chips, but the main reason may be either dry feet and excessive fur betwen the toes. Some dogs will lick their feet and cause moisture among the paws and toes, this will cause an odor, use talc to help.

All dogs feet smell like that. It's their sweat glands on their paw pads that make that smell. We've had many dogs and everyone of them had that smell.

We all know that dogs perspire through their feet. What you are smelling is the equivalent to our under arm odor. Call it foot BO if you will.

The best thing to do is to keep the dog clean...and animal will smell if they are dirty. Also, keep the hair trimmed on their paws and make sure it is clean in between the toes.
