You should refer the error code to Microsoft Support. Often times you will want to make sure you fully install the program as installing it on a partitioned drive may cause problems if one of the other operating system has a built in firewall. Microsoft Support can also be reached by e-mail.

There are many reasons you would get a error when installing xp on a computer lack of ram or hard drive space are the two top problems one would run into you could check the minimum system requirements on xp and make sure the computer has that

There are a number of things that could be wrong. Your disk might be damaged or scratched. Or your hard drive might be faulty.

It depends what error you are getting. If it is saying "cannot copy file ect... " it could be either a bad cdrom drive, a bad disk (possible scratched? ) or a bad hard drive. It's really just a process of elimination.
