Pain after urination is commonly caused by a urinary tract infection. Urinary tract infections, or UTIS, can be caused by various things. A very common cause is frequently holding your urine in the bladder too long. While there are over the counter UTI remedies, doctors can also prescribe medication for it.

This is usually a sign of an infection. A urinary tract infection may be responsible for this and drinking water and cranberry juice may be able to help.
