Actually, it is common to experience gas and other gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea during ovulation and menstruation. Hormone changes and prostaglandins, chemicals that allow the uterus (and unfortunately the intestines) to contract, are thought to be the cause. Other symptoms of ovulation include thinned cervical mucus, lower basal body temperature, increased sex drive, breast tenderness and abdominal pain.

Yes, it is. Your body actually processes foods differently during your different cycles that you have during the month. There are foods you should eat to go with your cycles.

This is common and can happen to many women at different points in their cycle. The changing levels of hormones in your system can also affect your digestive system, and can cause constipation. All of the material left sitting in your system will continue to react with the bacteria in your system, creating more overall gas.

Many women experience this problem and is very common. The pressure of the eggs moving down your pelvic region can cause extra pressure on the other parts of your abdomen that create the gas. As long as you are not having any pain with your gas, it is completely normal.

During ovulation the body goes through a very complex body chemistry change. However becoming gassy is more a psychological symptom. Your body is telling you to avoid sex unless the guy is really drop dead gorgeous. The second message is that you want very much to become pregnant. Tick-tock tick-tock.
