Why did the Bumbo Baby Sitter get recalled?

It was recalled to recieve new saftey labels. Children were having falls off of tables while in the bumbo. Parents have said falls occured while baby in seat was placed on the foor. Anything that can result in possible skull fractures should be taken seriously. My daughter just looked downright uncomfortable in it.

I personally did not see any danger with mine. I also didn't put the baby in it on a table. They say it was because the baby would fall out of them. If the parents read the directions or used commom sense, the accidents would have never happen in the first place.

I think people were putting the Bumbos on tables, and babies were tipping over and falling off the table. But anyone that I know that used them safely (placing the Bumbo on the floor) never had any type of incident.

I honestly don't know why and am sort of surprised to hear you say that as they still sell them in the stores. We have one and my baby loves it. You can research it but I know they still sell them so if they did have a recall they must have fixed the problem.

It was recalled because they said that there are numbers of reports that there are infants that fall off the seat. And there's no warning label that indicates not to use in elevated surface.
