Flat Stanley was written by Jeff Brown in 1964 and illustrated by Tomi Ungerer. It is the first book in a series about Stanley Lambchop and his family. Also in the series are: Stanley In Space, Stanley and the Magic Lamp, Invisible Stanley, Stanley's Christmas Adventure and Stanley Flat Again.

The Flat Stanley books are written by Jeff Brown. Tomi Ungerer did the illustrations. The first book was published in 1964. There are six book in the series. Jeff was working on a seventh when he died in 2003. There is a cool interactive website. One teacher inspired by the books created a project involving traveling Stanleys.

The books are written by author Jeff Brown. Brown was also a one time magazine editor and illustrator. He died in December of 2003. His Flat Stanley books are translated into over six different languages. There is also a series called Flat Mark which is based on the Stanley character.
