Who write the Cathy comic strip?

I love that comic strip!

Answer by  elb (1105)

The Cathy comic strip has been written and drawn by the same person, Cathy Guisewite, since its first days in 1976. She grew up in the Midwest, graduated from college with an English major, and published the first Cathy strip a few years later. She lives in California with her husband, and has won many awards for her work.

The comic strip Cathy is written by Cathy Lee Guisewite. She actually started writing the strip in 1976! One of my favorites is her tribute to Peanuts - it was so heartwarming. Cathy, the character, is just so easy to relate to and really exhibits how so many of us women feel!

Cathy is drawn by Cathy Guisewhite and was largely based on her life as a single woman. The comics are based on four categories: food, mom, love and work.
