Who was killed off on "Criminal Minds"?

The character, George Foyet, aka "The Reaper" or "The Boston Reaper," kidnapped and killed Hotchner's wife, Haley. Hotcher's long-time nenesis George Foyet was also killed. This event was part of the 100th episode and season finale. The character was played brilliantly by C. Thomas Howell. Viewers were sorry to see him go.

None of the main characters have been killed off, but several have left the show. The first to leave was Mandy Patinkin who left after the second season. At first they wrote him off in a way that left it open that maybe he was dead, but in later episodes they explained that he was just burned out and left.
