Snagglepuss was known for saying "Heavens to Murgatroyd! " Snagglepuss pink lion character in the Hanna-Barbera line-up. The expression, the roots of which are unknown, was first spoken by Bert Lahr in the 1944 movie "Meet the People. " Lahr played the Cowardly Lion in the film version of "The Wizard of Oz. "
