Kenmore manufactures a wide variety of reasonably priced, quality electric ranges. They are available in many sizes, including the forty-inch variety. Kenmore is also a convenient store to browse other appliances and brands.

GE makes an excellent 40 inch range that starts at about $499.00 new for the eye top and up for the smooth top ranges.

Frigidaire makes a nice 40 inch electic range under fifteen hundred dollars. I find that this is as econamical as your going to get.

A reliable and efficient stove is one of the best buys someone can make. Every stove I have ever bought has been a GE brand and they've all worked better then I could have hoped on the price I paid for them. I've seen some priced for around $500 and spend a little over $800 for mine with more features.
