Miroku is a character from the manga and anime series "InuYasha" by Rumiko Takahashi. Miroku is a buddhist monk who travels and performs spiritual services like exorcisms on people. His weapon, the Wind Tunnel sucks in anything in its path and is a powerful weapon against demons.

Miroku is the Japanese name for a future Bodhisatva who, according to Buddhist scripture, will arrive and achieve enlightenment after the Dharma (teachings of Siddhartha) cease being taught and followed. He is predicted as a great spiritual leader who will encourage holy living among his followers, very similar to the Judeo-Christian Messiah figure.
