The record number of home runs hit in a single game is four. Fifteen players have done this, including Lou Gehrig, Willie Mays, Joe Adcock, Gil Hodges, Rocky Colavito, and others. The most recent player to achieve this was Carlos Delgado, of Toronto, on September 25, 2003.

Actually the record for most home runs hit in one game is held by a lot of people. One of the oldest times this has happened is when Bobby Lowe did it for Boston back in 1894 and one of the most current times it has happened is with Carlos Delgado with Toronto in 2003.
