The most famous Western stars are the ones that are born in the west or are from the west and have been in a lot of okay movies or in a movie or two that were really outstanding. There should not be a lot of them because not all movies are good.

If you go way back to the silent film days, you will find real cowboys who were also movie stars. The most famous was probably Tom Mix.
