Jefferson Davis had two wives, but only had children with his second wife, Varina Banks Howell. Of their six children, only their daughter Margaret Howell had children. Margaret married J. Addison Hayes. They had four surviving children, Varina, Lucy, Jefferson, and Addison. They moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their ancestors still live there today.

Their "ancestors" don't still live there! Ancestors are born BEFORE you. Their DESCENDANTS still live there! That is a dumb error that drives me CRAZY!
