Question by  Pete (25)

Which should I drink - red wine or white wine?

Answer by  EP (32)

It depends on what you're eating. If it's red meat, or pasta with tomato sauce, then red wine. If it's fish, pasta with butter or cheese sauce, or a vegetarian entree, white wine. If you're not eating, you can enjoy either red or white wine on its own.

Both red and white wines have delicious examples. I prefer to drink red wine with red meats and heavier entrees. White wine goes well with chicken and fish.

That depends on two things, what you like and what you're eating. If you only like white or red wine, by all means just drink that. If you're not fussy about the kind of wine you like, you should try to match your choice with your food. Whites with chicken or fish, red with meat. And champagne goes with everything.

It's a matter of personal taste, although red wine has more health benefits. Try pairing the wine with food, e. g. white with fish and poultry, red with red meats.
