Which piano brands are best?

There are so many brands out there, that it's far more important to consider other qualities. You want to buy the tallest upright or longest grand that you can afford. Go for any Grand that is over 5 ft. long. If you can't do this, go for an Upright.

Yamaha is the best brand I know. I see all my friends buying this brand of piano. Also, often I received the letter from the Music School of a university: they sell the used piano of this brand which were being used for teaching activities. It got to be good.

There is no question that a Steinway is the best piano. The sound quality is amazing in the left lower register.
