It depends on how old it is, what condition it is in, etc. If no one has played it in a while, you should have a professional come and tune it, and clean it. This person can give you an estimate on how much it is worth, or can refer to a music store or someone else who can.

The problem is generally in the shape of the pin block. Did the technician voice any concerns? Was it a registered technician from the Piano Technicians Guild?
