Where do you go to get garage door opener replacements?

My garage door opener got lost last evening while we were out on the boat, it is a Geni.

I would start by doing a Google search for Genie. It's quite likely that the manufacturer has replacements, but first you might see if there are any for sale on craigslist, eBay or the like. Google will have it all.

My advice would be to start with the garage door opener itself. Find out the model name and serial number. Then visit Genie's website and look around. Odds are good they will have a section of replacement parts, and a replacement for your model will be there. If not, I would contact their customer service department directly.

Do you mean a Genie Garage Door Opener? Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears are all certified Genie dealers so you can try calling your local store to see if they have a replacement. You can also locate a Genie Dealer near you on their website if you live in the United States.

Genie replacement parts and accessories ( which would include the handheld remote opener ) can be found at large hardware stores, such as Lowe's and Home Depot; and at smaller stores like ACE Hardware and True Value Hardware.

You can call or email the maker and see if you can buy a replacement. You might be able to check their website and order it online.
