Each type of bear lives in a different place. Some live in forests, some live in the mountain tops, and some even live in caves! Bears normally are awake at night and asleep in the daytime, so a dark place would be suitable for them.

Most bears live in forest in the northern hemisphere except the Polar Bear. Yes a bear would hibernate in a cave if he finds one but would be fine sleeping under a rock or a brush pile or under a tree. Bears move around when their not hibernating therefor they don't live in one place.

A lot of bears live pretty much where they can. Bears will many times claim a spot of underbrush or some kind of thick growth for their home. They are generally on the move so much that it's hard to know where they call home. Some bears might live in a gave that isn't so deep.

Not all bears live in caves, but this is their preferred habitat. Many roam around, living under rock ledges and tree overhangs.
