He earned a scholarship to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1981. He joined the NBA in 1984, but returned to his college in 1986 to earn his degree.

Michael Jordan went to the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) on a basketball scholarship. Obviously, he was an amazing player and made the NCAA All-American First team two years in a row. He was recruited into the NBA before he receiving his diploma however, and didn't officially graduate from UNC until 1986.
