Francisco Pizarro foremost founded Panama City and Pizarro, then moved on to explore Incas by sailing through western South America. He also discovered Peru, Ecuador and Columbia to expand Spain.
In the early 1500s, he explored much of South America's Western coast along the Pacific. He became mayor of Panama City and later settled Lima, Peru, where he is buried.
Francisco Pizarro traveled the Pacific coast of America along Peru and landed in San Mateo Bay in 1532. After venturing over mountains and through the desert he and his crew explored Cajamarca in 1533. Continuing on, Francisco basically destroyed the Incan capital of Cusco. Afterwhich Pizarro founded Lima in 1541.
Francisco Pizarro officially discovered Peru, Ecuador,
Panama, and Columbia. What he discovered was important because he
introduced everyone to those new Places in the New World that no one
has ever seen before.
