You should get some recommendations from people that have recently redone their kitchen. They can probably recommend some designers to you and they can help you come up with an innovative idea. You can also try researching online if you are just curious. Or you could try watching those design shows.

I like looking at any of the websites for the various design TV shows. They usually have good ideas and budget descriptions. Also some of the DIY sites have plans people have uploaded.
