My friend got a new phone and gave me his old blue tooth. But I can't sync it to my phone.

All Blue Tooth have a generic pass key. You simply need to check with your friend for the generic code which came with the blue tooth you were given by him.

Pairing password must be same,but fails,please format or restore,or it may be a firmware problem. That can be done in a service firm, good luck
