In the state of Arizona there are over 275 ghost towns. The ghost towns are mostly located in the Northwest Central and Southeast portions of the state. One of the most famous of the ghost towns is Tombstone. Because of the towns not receiving preservation, the ghost towns now are only a few foundations and mining equipment.

There are scores of abandoned mining towns in Arizona, including the famous Tombstone--the site of the gunfight at the OK Corral. Another popular ghost town is Bisbee, which has a beautiful, authentic wild west hotel, rumored to be very haunted.
