When was the last revision to the King James Bible New Testament?

Answer by  daveandrews (383)

There was a standard text in 1769 but the official text is the translation that was first published in 1611. The translation of the bible was one of the underlying religious problems that lead to the english civil war and was a clear dividing line between catholicism and the church of england.

The latest version of the king James bible came out in the late 90's. It was named the New King james version and was a total revision to make it as clear in our language as possible
