The best time to plan a trip to Disneyland is during the "off" season--so basically whenever there isn't a school holiday or public holiday--these are the perfect times. I recommend before Easter or after Thanksgiving and before Christmas.

Plan a trip to Disneyland that does not correspond to popular travel times such as Christmas week, President's week and Spring Break. The best times would be when the weather is warm but not hot, and when you can count on there being smaller crowds and hopefully no rain.

The best time to plan a trip to Disneyland to beat crowds and still enjoy the holiday decorations, parades and special holiday themed rides is the week before thanksgiving. Going before the holiday helps beat the winter break rush.

January and February are good months to go but those are rainy months in California. The park operates on limited hours and used the slow season to shut down rides for maintenance, repair, etc. Still though, school breaks and holidays are busy in the park. Fall brings more visitors, but all in all, is perhaps the best time to go.

The best time to plan a trip to Disneyland would be in the winter months. That way you can insure that rates will be lower and you can afford your trip. Plan for you trip to be either in early spring or mid fall when the weather is nice in southern California.

It depends on what your family's considerations are. If you're looking for inexpensive times to go, look to go outside the normal school holiday period. If you're thinking of the most spectacular, consider going at Christmas. Everything is lit up (including Cinderella's castle! ) and full of cheer. Overall though, going in summer is the best because the waterparks are open.
