When and where did the Mount Etna eruption occur?

Mount Etna is on the east coast of Sicily near the city of Catania. Since the 17th century, there has been at least 60 flank eruptions and countless summit eruptions, half of which occurred in the 20th century. Since Y2K, there has been 5 eruptions in 2001, 2002-03, 2004-05, 2007 and 2008.

Mount Etna is a volcano in Sicily, near the northeast end of the island. It erupts every few years, most recently in 2008. Most eruptions have spared population centers, but one in 1669 buried part of the town of Catania, and another, in 1928, damaged the village of Mascali.

Mount Etna is really in a constant state of activity. Located in Sicily, it has erupted numerous times in the present decade, the worst eruption was in the 1600's.
