Cuban cigars are a bid deal because ever since President John F. Kennedy instated a trade embargo against Cuba in the 1960s, Americans have not been able to legally buy them. Cuban cigars are generally accepted as the best in the world, both because of the quality of tobacco used in them and the way they are rolled.

Some swear the aroma and taste of a Cuban cigar is superior to any other, but in my estimation it's just a big build up.

Perfectly aged tobacco, amazingly rolled with fragrant papers by the Cubans themselves. That is what is so great. Grown in the right climate, aged for years, properly hung to ensure smoothness. That is what the big deal is!
