For a guitar musician the best tool for music composition is Guitar Pro. It's good for beginner as music is written using tabalature rather than scores.

one of the best and freeware is dance ejay. it has many series with thousands samples. very good but not free are also cubasis and virtual dj

I think the best music writing software is Octava. All the musicians that I know use it. It is not free but you can have a free demo version wich allows you to test everything but forbids you to store.
