Salsa can be considered a Mexican dance. You can learn it at many dance studios, or online in videos. The songs are very popular in both Mexico and in Spain.

Yes, there are many other dances than the Mexican hat dance. I, personally, think the Dance of the Deer is a much better representation of Mexican culture. Look this up in a search engine and it is easy to find videos that show examples of the many types of Mexican dances.
