Personally, Yamaha seems to have the best sound, followed closely by Besson. Both of these trumpets require regular cleaning. With maintenence, they will best match most people's requirements..

The best for one person many not be the best for another. Finances are a factor. However, there are some good trumpet made by Bach, Schilke, Getzen, Oakes, Chicago Brass, Blackburn or Taylor. Or, to go all the way, a custom made by Monette. There is usually a waiting list.

Unicon trumpet is the best made trumpet. It is very light weight and very easy to handle. It is cheep and best one.

The best trumpet should be the one made by Bach or Yamaha. It is purely personal choice. To choose the best trumpet one should the hear sound of the trumpet it should sound like the one from Alison Balsom. A cheap and poorly made trumpet come in the way of learning the very trumpet playing.
