What was the life of Adolphus Busch like?

Adolphus Busch was a German immigrant to America. He was given a small inheritance due to the death of his father, which he later on used to invest on a brewer's supply store. Then he married the daughter of a brewery owner whose business is not doing well.

Number 20 of 22 children, Busch (1839-1913) and three of his brothers left their native Germany, and the family's wine and brewery supply business, for St. Louis in 1857. He soon met and married Lilly Anhueser, whose father, Eberhard, owned a small brewery. The men formed Anheuser Busch. Adolphus and Lilly had 13 children. He died while vacationing in Germany.
