I consider Charleston, South Carolina, to be the best coastal town in the U. S. It has great natural beauty, charm, and a rich history that spans back to the beginning of the nation. It has amazing architecture and a warm and comfortable climate year-round.

Panama City Beach, FL is a great coastal town. Mainly because the beaches are sandy white and not dark or rocky like other beaches on Eastern and Western coasts. There's also many nice hotels and beach houses to stay in, as well as a lively nightlife and great shopping when you're not hanging out on the beach.

A great little town on the west coast of Florida called Marco Island. The island is connected with a bridge and has beautifull beaches. It is a boater paradise as well with the ten thousand islands as surrounding. It has great lodging, there is a beautifull Marriott resort that has been renovated.

The best coastal town in the US has to be San Diego, California. They have a perfect temperature year round. San Diego has many tourist attractions and lovely parks.
