What's the best car sound system?

Alpine makes great sound systems. Their website has a feature where you can virtually build your own sound system to have whatever features you like. They have CD players and I-pod hook ups as options. They are pretty pricey. The cheapest product they sell is over eight hundred dollars.

I would go with a system like Alpine since it can run standard car speakers but has the connections for a high powered amp should you want to upgrade to something more powerful. Also Alpine is reasonably priced and readily available.
