Place 4 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add the mice and boil for an hour, then remove each mouse and place on a buttered tray to cool. When cooled, dust with powdered sugar. Vary the recipe by adding half a teaspoon of flavoring to the boiling sugar-water mix.
