State why you are interested in working for that specific company. Then describe your areas of interest (accounting, IT), qualifications, and level of position (entry, supervisory, contractor). Describe how your skills can transfer to other industries/jobs. Briefly discuss any gaps in employment. Refer to your resume, but do not repeat it.

You may want one that is non-specific but the best way to go is to take a resume and change it for every job type you apply for. Employers love when you get personal with their company. It makes you look better.

? For this type of letter, you'll want to focus on your general strengths that could be applied to any job; think also about your experience that is character-building and your work ethic.
