It is really up to your personal preference, but I would suggest a tea lenth or short dress that is typical for a party dress. If this is your first marriage you could get it in white. If not, then I would suggest an off-white or light colored dress. The husband should wear a suit.

For a woman, a cream or white suit, or a black pencil skirt and white satin blouse. For a man a suit, or slacks button up shirt and a tie.

You can wear anything you'd like, from traditional white gowns and tuxedos to business wear or even more casual. A nice suit for the groom and a feminine business suit with a skirt for a woman is tasteful, attractive, and not very expensive. Remember it's your day, so anything goes, as long as it fits you as a couple!

For a man, a suit and tie will work. For a woman, a nice skirt or even a simple, classy dress.
