What would cause a lump behind my ear?

You could have a pimple back there that has not come out yet or a cist. A cist is just fluid that is stuck underneath the skin and should not cause harm or itch but if popped may cause infection.

A lot of times a cyst will develop behind the ear.It could be a swollen lymph node that can change size if infection is present. A lot of people have these lumps and the ones I know that have them say there is nothing seriously wrong. If it grows or stays, maybe a doctor should look at it.
