The roman clothes were made of wool, spun into cloth by the women of the family. The romans wore togas, tunics, underwear, open toe sandals and jewelries. Togas were only worn by male citizens. Women were tunics (peplos or chiton). Both of them were two wide pieces of cloth sewn together and fastened at the shoulders.
