On the American side, the most commonly used weapon was the M-16A1 5.56mm Assault rifle. For the Vietcong, the Soviet made AK-47 7.62mm Assault Rifle was the standard issued weapon.
I know that they used bombs and gas on the enemy, like napalm. THe problem is that some gasses also made out soldiers sick through the rest of their lives.
