In Greek mythology, Zeus was chief of all the gods, and as such, presided over everything! He did seem to have some especial interests, such as doves and oak trees; and being the author of the seasons. He also had governorship of the heavens, and what the Wordsworth Classical Dictionary calls "the upper regions."

In Greek mythology Zeus was considered to be the God of Sky and Thunder. But he was also considered to be the king of the gods. He ruled over the rest of the gods on Mount Olympus. He also assigned the other gods their roles. Most of the other gods were his offspring.

Zeus is the god of sky and thunder in Greek mythology. Furthermore he is the king of the gods who oversaw the universe and assigned roles to the other Olympian gods who resided at Mount Olympus. He is known for his promiscuity which resulted in many godly and heroic offspring.
