Richard Nixon resigned under pressure, and probably would have been removed had he not done so, but he still left voluntarily. The only president to have actually be removed from office is Warren Harding, who was impeached and convicted for widespread corruption.

Andrew Johnson was the first President impeached. Clinton was impeached as well, but was not removed from office. Following Watergate, Nixon would've been removed had he not resigned first.
