A Jewish proverb might be a nice thing to place on a gravestone. For example, "Be the day weary or be the day long, at last it ringeth to evensong."

What about these? "Say not in grief, 'She is no more', but live in thankfulness that she was." (Hebrew Proverb) or "In the night of death, hope sees a star, and listening love can hear the rustle of a wing." (Robert G. Ingersoll)

If you need to put a saying on your grandmothers gravestone, that means you must be the person paying for and overseeing the unveiling ceremony. Anything that you say and makes you feel good about your grandmother and lets everyone know what and who she was is appropriate. Really, just keep it short to fit the stone and the purse.
