What stores would sell a reasonably priced craft lamp?

Have you tried looking at various thrift stores? Or consignment shops that specialize in craft items? Or even a lamp store? If there isn't any luck with those, sometimes you can find cheap things on Ebay, Etsy, or Craigslist.

You may want to try Walmart, Target, Kmart, Sears etc. Sometimes craft stores like Michaels have them in stock, look on online for more options.

home goods is a good place to start, if not there than michaels or ac moore. if not there then try craigs list.

The best place to find a reasonably priced craft lamp would be to search online. There are several price comparison shopping sites, some of which provide the products for purchase. Others simply compare the prices, and direct you to the website. You can also check the clearance section of stores, both online and in store.
