First you should decide if you truly want to pursue a career in psycholgy. This is a study that has many difficulties and conflicts. If you have a strong desire to become a psychologist then decide what branch of psychology you want to practice. Do your research! Find the degree you need and the best schools suited for your goals.
You will first need an undergraduate degree and then a doctoral degree(e. g. , Ph. D. , Psy. D. , or Ed. D. ) in a specialty area of psychology (e. g. , clinical, social, etc. ).
Figure out what kind of psychologist you want to become first, i. e. counselor, addictions, etc and research schools that offer those courses. Also be prepared to spend at LEAST six years getting a Masters degree. Anything less is pointless.
