What special care does a Shih-Tzu puppy require?

Although Shih-Tzu's are good for allergy sufferers, their long hair means they need constant brushing or grooming. Hair in their eyes can also cause problems. Being a small dog and around children, they may be snappish. I don't think this is a good breed for families.

Because of their short snouts, it is important to watch that their noses don't get plugged and that they don't overheat.

A shih tzu needs to have his hair combed every day or it will get matted. They are also small dogs so they need to go out to pee alot and they have to be on a lease too so yes they are good dogs for kids but you have to be very careful with them

Since they have long hair they need to be brushed and cleaned regularly so their hair doesn't tangle and get knotted.
