A nice suit is classic. Add a bright colored silk tie(i.e green or blue) to add some fun. For casual wear, blue jeans and a plaid shirt is a fun but, stylish look. Sweater vests are also great for the "aww" factor. Have fun with it and embrace his personality. Sports themed outfits are always fun too!

Your son should wear something that reflects his personality in his first beauty pageant. Most contestants wear a suit or a tuxedo and that would probably be the best way to go if you want to score well. If you are able to mix what the judges want and his personal style you will make the best presentation.

A black pants is better, slacks for specific. While for the upper is better a light color long sleeve polo with a vest colored dark,can be black or a grey, and a black shoes.

I think he should wear something made for his three years old personality as you know him.It could be something funny,something unusual or something chosen by himself.My opinion is that he soul wear two or maximum three colors because you don't want to turn your son into a clown or something to be laughed at.

It all depends on the type of pageant. If it is a very rich pageant, then I suggest a tux or a sweater vest.
