Foxes are good hunters as well as scavengers. They have a very good nose, so it is a good idea to use a very strong smelling substance like cat food. Foxes also like to eat rodents and chicken eggs, but these do not smell as strongly and will not attract a fox as easily.

Fox bait should only be used by authorized control agencies. They have 3 milligrams of Sodium Fluoroacetate, also called 1080 poison. Be careful, as this can also attract other canines.
