You will encounter racism. This should not surprise you. What may surprise you is that you will face bigotry from members of both racial groups that make up the marriage. Strangers may very well make nasty remarks. Family members, on both sides, may also be disapproving. Facing these realities will be a strain on your relationship.

The most important thing to know is that every couple has differences. An interracial relationship is one more difference that can be wonderful. There are closed minded people. It is good to be aware of those sorts of people and perhaps choose a friendlier, more open minded place to live.
