What should I know about when dogs are having babies?

I should make sure that my dog has sufficient nutrition, and take her to the vet to see whether her health condition is good.

Dogs are very protective of babies. When they are having babies it is imperative you people be very cafeul in handling the babies. Female dogs are typically very protective of their young pups. Sometimes female dogs will bight or growl at people that attempt to handle small puppies and/or be threatened.

One thing good to know is that most females get defensive about their young when their born even if they weren't that aggresive before. You can't take little pups from their mother's because they'll be rejected.

Number one thing is to let the mom do her thing. Do not touch the babies. Give them mother fresh water and blankets and she'll do the rest.
